If you have not requested a CD of your (or your child's) artwork, you can still request one by sending an e-mail with the artists name, class, and your summer address to kris.dunham@gmail.com. If you've already requested one, they will be delivered in the next week.
If you are a 5th grade student or parent (or any other parent or student) that would still like a Create Your State book, click
I'm off on a new adventure to Dresden, Germany. Here you can find tales of my travels and images of my latest artwork.

A Bittersweet Goodbye
For the past two years I've been the art teacher at the fabulous Gullett Elementary in Austin, TX. It's been a great job, but unfortunately, I won't be returning next year :(
Bob found a new job, but unfortunately, the job he found isn't in Austin. He will be working for a company based out of Germany for the next 15 months. In the fall of 2011 the company will have completed a new facility in upstate New York and we will be moving there. Even though we're looking forward to moving back to the Northeast, I wish it had come along 4 or 5 years down the road.
The decision to leave Gullett was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I love teaching at Gullett. I love the faculty, the students, the families and the community. I think the art program has grown a lot in the past two years and I hate to leave when there's still so much I'd like to do. BUT, after much deliberation, I realize that I just can't stay here with Bob halfway across the globe.
I also hope that many of my students and their families will keep in touch.
I'll try to keep this blog updated with news of my travels and photos of the artwork I plan to create while I'm traveling in Europe.
